Although of no consolation to those who were targeted, most Ruddington residents and traders will be relieved to hear there’s been a slight reduction in reported crime during the past month. Rushcliffe Police have listed just 16 offences in our village – down from 20 the month before.
In total there were five burglaries, two vehicles stolen and four thefts from vehicles – with the rest of the incidents relating to criminal damage, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug use. Two of those on the list are ones we have reported on previously – the break in and car theft on Musters Road* and the raid on Apotheka**.

1st – Burglary and theft of a vehicle from a property on Musters Road*
2nd – Criminal Damage to a vehicle where the offender was identified and dealt with.
4th – ASB in the vicinity of Wilford Road
6th – ASB on Rushcliffe Country Park
7th – Overnight Burglary at a property on Loughborough road
9th – Alleged drug use by individuals on Landmere Lane
14th – Theft from Motor Vehicles x2. Vehicles parked at Packman Drive and Elms Park.
15th – Several calls received regarding the same nuisance bike being ridden around the Leys Road/Barleylands area.
17th – Theft from Motor Vehicles x2. Both vehicles parked on Asher Lane.
18th – Theft of tools from the Allotments off Asher lane
20th – Theft from a Commercial Premises in the centre of Ruddington**
21st – Burglary at a property on Elms Gardens
23rd – Theft of a vehicle on Brettsil Drive
29th – Nuisance Quad bike on Tongue Way
Police also report that this morning (Friday 1st June) four men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary at Ruddington’s northern boundary.
Officers were called to the Nottingham South and Wilford Industrial Estate off Ruddington Lane at around a quarter past midnight today following a report of men acting suspiciously. After a search of the area, the 27, 28, 37 and 40-year-olds were detained – suspected of commercial burglary – and remain in Police custody.
